'Tripping stones' are everywhere. They are a little higher than the cobblestones and can cause a person to trip over them. In this way they remind us of people taken in the holocaust so we, hopefully, do not repeat history. The stones give a persons's name, when they were taken, to what camp, the date they died or, in some rare cases, if they survived. These are sobering reminders in a city that is so alive and youthful and focusing on the future.

In the upper right part of the mural you see a painting of the guards who used to stand watch. On the bottom there is a guard who would have required your passport. And the grafitti? Well, it's a little distracting in this situation.
